Sex won't keep him!

Yes, sexual intercourse you read it right.

Sexual intercourse is a very interesting, pleasing, and significant act in the sight of God and Man. But the interesting and pleasing part is what is basically concerned with man.

The significance is what matters to God.
The significance here represents;
  1. What it actually means,
  2. What it is meant for,
  3. And its purpose.
Back to the main topic, SEX.

WHAT IS SEX?

Sex is a selfless act, for the purpose of your spouse. And it's often accompanied with touching, kissing, caressing and many other enticing romantic things (the pleasing part).

Note that sexual intercourse is the legal form (God standards) for intimacy between a man and his wife.
Sex not under the jurisdiction (principles) of God becomes a sin.

Example:
  • Fornication is a type of sex, but the purpose is against the principles of God.
  • Adultery is another aspect. These are all types of sex, but a deviation from the original purpose God made sex.
Purpose for Sex....

God created sex for the main reason of procreation. Which started from the beginning of creation.  Genesis 1:22 says "And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the fowl multiply in the earth" (Amplified Bible). Verse 28 of the same chapter 1 says the same thing.

Although there are many insights into this above scripture. But we are going to concentrate on the procreation (sex) aspect of it.

So from the above verse, it was actually the commandment God gave Adam and Eve. It therefore means the one and main purpose for sex is for Procreation, Multiplication of seeds (womb).
So it isn't meant for singles, but only for legally married couples.

And also another fact you should know is this, sex before marriage is still fornication. Even when you and your partner are about to get married (engaged),  it is still considered fornication, because you are not yet bonded by the york of the covenant of marriage with God and man. Why the rush, when you know you are already engaged. If you know that person is going to be your spouse, then relax and let God do his things in his time. Except if you have some secrets you don't want people to discover.

Know also that sex cannot and will never keep a man of substance (high value).
And if you are one of those persons that believes in this philosophy (sex can keep a man), then you better think again.

What keeps a man, is character, respect, good values, humility and support.

Character, good values, was one of the reasons that made Jacob work for fourteen years for the sake of Rachel. If it was sex, then Jacob could have been satisfied with Rachel's sister Leah, because he married her first.

Genesis 29:9 "While he was still talking with them, Rachel came with her father's sheep, for she shepherded them"

Verse 10 says "When Jacob saw Rachel daughter of Laban, his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban his uncle, Jacob went near and rolled the stone from the well's mouth and watered the flock of his uncle Laban"

Verse 11 says "Then Jacob kissed Rachel and he wept aloud" (Amplified Bible).

You could imagine the elegance, charisma that Rachel carried that made Jacob kiss her for the very first time and he cried out with a loud voice. Free kiss, without seducing him with her body. Just her character took her to where God had destined for her. Most ladies of today lack this main virtue called character.

This wasn't love at first sight, but character at first sight..

And if you read verse 17-18 of the same Chapter 29, it says "Leah's eyes were weak and dull looking, but Rachel was beautiful and attractive. And Jacob loved Rachel; so he said, I will work for you seven years for Rachel your younger daughter" (Amplified Bible).

Leah was older than Rachel, but character and not using sex as a tool to hold Jacob ransom was what made Jacob Love Rachel.

Your character can speak louder for you, even when you are not qualified in terms of seniority.  That was the case for David when he was anointed amongst his other older brothers. Same happened with Rachel, who Jacob chose over Leah, which was the eldest daughter of Laban.

If you read down the verses, you'll see how Jacob was deceived and all that story.
But in Genesis 29:27-29
[27]Finish the [wedding feast] week [for Leah]; then we will give you [Rachel] also, and you shall work for me yet seven more years in return.
[28]So Jacob complied and fulfilled [Leah's] week; then [Laban] gave him Rachel his daughter as his wife.
[29](And Laban gave Bilhah his maid to Rachel his daughter to be her maid.) (Amplified Bible).

So sex will never keep a man, but your character will!!
