Have you ever wondered why so many marriages fail today?
Well the plain truth is this, your personality is one aspect that matters a lot when it comes to the person you want to spend the rest of your life with.
Personality is what will either make or mar a marriage.
Yes, who you are (personality), and it is only you that can fully understand yourself. And note not just anybody can know your personality in depth. It takes the right person (good friends) to know you for you.
Even getting to know yourself sure took you sometime, nonetheless your friend.
But the right friend will be able to define you in your absence for who they;
- Know you to be,
- Perceive you to be,
- Feel you can be.

So back to the discussion. It takes the right friends to point out your unknown weaknesses that you didn't know about yourself, and these friends still make the best out of those weaknesses. This is one of the reasons why you need to surround yourself with good friends (both genders). But be careful, not to give room for the Devil to tempt you, especially if it's from the opposite sex, if you're a guy or lady.
A Tip For The Guys;
For the guys, starting off as friends (hiding your actual intentions temporarily) is sure one of the best way to fully know the girl in depth. Because most times, you discover that when you let her know that you have an interest in her, without starting off as friends as the due process, there is a high probability that you won't get to know her true personality.
Most of her lifestyle around you (the guys) will be to please you. But if you use the disguise plan, there is a high chance that you will find out something you didn't see from afar.
But another question is, what if another guy approach the girl you are interested in?
Well if she agrees, then she wasn't the one for you. But if she doesn't due to the friendship you both have or she feels that guy is not the one, then there is a chance that she is the one.
Note the word chance, because her reason for turning the guy down might also not be because of the friendship you both have. So please know why she turned down the guy.
But there is also a probability that if she is the one, she will definitely come back. But this is not a yardstick for you to turn down other ladies around you, because you are waiting for her to come back.
No...the same God that watches his children knows what is best for them.
Remember when one door closes, another opens.
See what Jeremiah 29:11 says "I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for" (Good News Bible).
Let's establish another fact here too. You might not have known the lady you want to spend the rest of your life with beforehand. Like it was more of a DIVINE REVELATION.
Well what to do is this, if you are very sure it was a divine revelation, then TRUST THE SAME GOD THAT REVEALED IT TO YOU.
For Isaiah 55:8-9 says "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts" (KJV).
After all Isaac hadn't met Rebekah before, when he chose to marry her in the Books of Genesis 24:67 "And Issac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death" (KJV).
If you study the previous verses, in the same Chapter 24, you will discover that it was Abraham's servant that did the whole wife searching thing for Isaac. So it isn't a big deal.
Also look at the wife of Joseph, Asenath in Genesis 41:45 "And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt" (KJV). Joseph didn't know her beforehand when he married her. She was given to him (Joseph) by Pharoah.
Finally, note that it is only God Almighty that can disprove the theory and principles of Man. And that is what we call DIVINE INTERVENTION. If this is your case, then you're on the right part, as long as it is from God.
