Naija Weddings
It is unusual for any Naija person not to have ever witnessed or even attended a Naija gbedu! It's the gbedu that passes gbedu!
Sure you must have attended a Naija wedding if you're a Nigerian. Well for our foreign readers, a Naija wedding is not just any wedding. There is so much groove (fun), gbedu (dancing) lots and lots of food (depending on the wedding you attended though).
The clothing and dress are superb. Attires like
- Ankara
- Senator's wear
- Agbada
- Buba and Shokoto
- Bridal's trail
- Men in suit
- Grooms Men and lots more.
If you think or feel you know it all, think again. The gist hasn't even started. Wait till you taste our lovely Naija delicacies, dishes that will make you salivate...
- Eforiro soup
- Pounded yam and Egusi soup.
- Amala and Ewedu soup
- Owo and plantain
- Starch and Banga soup
- Leaf rice with shaki (what we call Izoko)
- Bole (roasted plantain) with sauce and correct smoked fish
- Goat meat pepper soup
